Can you set the scene for us?

Most content in the future will be AI generated. We are already seeing this with AI content flooding every channel and every content vertical. This is giving rise to whole new problems such as deepfake scams. In that world, humans will not be able to scale with that amount of content and we need AI to police AI. Introducing Vokel AI…

What are you building with Vokel AI & why is it important?

We are building enterprise grade deepfake detection technology that can identify whether content is AI generated or not through our API platform, in order to help enterprises clamp down on AI fraud. This is super important as deepfake-driven disinformation is exploding and new problems have arisen from GenAI content, such as telephone banking fraud, news misinformation, data integrity and more.

How did you land on this idea?

My cofounder and I initially started off wanting to create an application layer legaltech platform that could enable IP owners to track and monetize their IP in the era of generative AI. In our discovery process, we realized that the technology to determine whether content was AI generated or not did not exist, and customers were more interested in this — so we started our journey to build a deepfake detection platform.

Where are you today? How can the community help?

We have built out our initial MVP in the audio space and are in the process of onboarding our first customer.
